Cullen Building Products, leading connector manufacturer for the timber-engineering sector, held their annual Golf Day on 18th May at Balbirnie Golf and Country Club in Fife. The event was attended by more than seventy industry representatives who had traveled to Fife from across the UK and Ireland. For those non-golfers outdoor activities were put on, including clay pigeon shooting and Honda pilots. These events, which were held at Cluny Clays Outdoor Centre, went down a storm.Cullen MD Doug Cullen commented: "We were delighted that so many of our industry partners chose to join us and help make this such a successful day.

Winners in both golf and shooting were drawn from across the range of competitors the winning team for the golf tournament included: Phil Smith of ASK McGowan, Mike Beale of Gang-Nail Systems, Richard Dennis of RK Timber and Anthony Daniels of Pinewood Structures. Whilst Richard Evans of Wyckham Blackwell won the outdoor activity tournament.
Although it was very much a fun day for Cullen customers and partners there was a charity competition, arranged on the golf course, which raised £400 and this was matched by Cullen and several generous donations from winning participants took the pot to over £1000 for Rachel House Hospice.
The day ended with an excellent meal at the Dean Park Hotel followed by a prize ceremony and two very funny speakers. As proof of the great time everyone had you could still hear them in the hotel bar late into the next morning!
