Gang-Nail Software Specifies Bolt Free Girders

LedgerLok from Cullen is changing the way multiple roof girders are being fixed on-site. The recent amendment to BS 5268 P: 3 allows the use of screws when fixing multiple girders, meaning that you now have an alternative to pre-drilling and bolting multiple girders. These can now be quickly and efficiently screwed to perform as a single unit. The major benefit of the LedgerLok is that it is the only self-drilling screw that requires no pre-drilling making installation much easier and speeding up the connection time.

LedgerLok has also eliminated the need for fabricators to turn 2 and 3 ply trusses over, as fasteners can be installed from one side of the girder truss specifying LedgerLok will therefore, increase the speed of installation and reduce manual handling problems. 4 ply members will still have to be turned, refer to enclosed data sheet for information.

Gang-Nail Systems’ GN Roof &Truss software can automatically design for LedgerLok screws for the assembly of multiple member trusses.

Paul Baron, Managing Director, of Gang-Nail Systems Ltd said, “We are pleased to see that Cullen have brought this product to market with the technical data we need from a design perspective. I’m sure that screwed girder fixing will be become the norm now that LedgerLok is readily available

The benefits of assembling girder trusses using the LedgerLok will assist designers, fabricators, erectors, developers and even building inspectors. Can you afford to miss out?
