Cullen Connecting To Canada

We are very proud to announce that, as part of Cullen’s wider global aspirations, today marks the official entry into the Canadian timber construction market.  Launched from our 40,000 sq. ft purpose built manufacturing premises with our bespoke connector and FastenMaster ranges.  The full launch in Canada will take place in Q3 with our innovative engineered flooring connector range.  The roof-truss and timber frame ranges will follow.

Having established ourselves as No1. in the UK timber engineering market through a passion for innovation and commitment to customer service, Canada was chosen as a great market opportunity, with a similar method of construction, strong links between the two industries and a very strong housing market.

Prize Competition To Launch Revamped Website

New Variable Skewed Hanger  (Coming soon…)

Cullen’s VS (Variable Skewed) hanger has been developed to be adjustable between 30º and 90º, solving one of timber engineering distributors’ biggest problems.  No longer will you have to wait up to 10 working days for angled hangers, as the VS provides an off-the-shelf solution.  Customers will only need to carry left and right-handed options in the relevant depths to greatly enhance their service to the end-user.

  • VS – timber to timber applications
  • VSM – timber to masonry applications

Both the VS and the VSM can be used universally by truss, I-Joist, or openweb designers.

New Design Template

Cullen’s Technical Team have created a new design template to aid manufacture of specials and bespoke connectors.  Designed to answer all potential questions/issues that might come up when ordering special hangers, the template should speed up the design process.
